A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a vehicle in southwest Bakersfield on Thursday morning, July 3, 2025.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision occurred around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of White Lane and Old River Road.
Responding officers found the motorcyclist down in the roadway with major injuries and began life-saving efforts. Medical personnel arrived shortly after but pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Authorities stated that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be contributing factors.
Roadways in the area were closed as the investigation continued.
