A 48-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in the Mission Valley East area of San Diego early Saturday morning, July 5, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m. in the 7600 block of Friars Road.
Police said the man was in the westbound lanes of Friars Road when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. The driver fled the scene, and no description of the vehicle or suspect has been provided.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for serious injuries, including a skull fracture, facial fracture, and fractures to the right tibia and fibula.
The crash remains under investigation.
