Five people were injured, including one critically, in a crash on Highway 88 near Omo Ranch Road in Amador County on Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2025.
According to the local fire district, the crash occurred just before 3:00 p.m. when a vehicle collided with a tree along the highway. Emergency crews responded to the scene and assessed multiple patients.
One person suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a Sacramento-area hospital. Two others sustained moderate injuries and were transported by ground ambulance. Two additional individuals were treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
