[07-21-2025] Two People Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on La Mesa Road in VictorvilleTwo people sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision in Victorville on Monday morning, July 21, 2025.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 7:15 a.m. near the intersection of La Mesa Road and Del Gado Road. 

The incident involved a white Chevrolet Traverse and a black Chevy Tahoe, both of which suffered major front-end damage.

The 55-year-old woman driving the Traverse was trapped inside the wreckage and had to be extricated by Victorville Fire Department personnel. She was transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center.

The male driver of the Tahoe sustained significant head injuries and was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital via Reach 13, which landed at Liberty Park.

A witness reported that the Traverse was heading eastbound after a green light when the westbound Tahoe allegedly hit a curb, veered into oncoming traffic, and caused the head-on collision. Deputies were seen collecting evidence from the Tahoe, though the nature of the evidence has not been disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
