A man in his 60s died following a motorcycle crash in Madera County on Sunday evening, July 27, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Fairmead Boulevard, south of Gordon Street.
The motorcyclist, a Fowler resident, was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan southbound when he attempted to pass a 2008 GMC Yukon that was preparing to turn left into a private driveway.
The motorcycle collided with the SUV, and the rider was ejected. CHP confirmed that the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
The driver of the GMC, a woman from Chowchilla, and her two children, ages 10-year-old and 8 months, were not injured in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
