A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Sacramento early Saturday morning, August 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard.
Officers stated that Ekaterina Yuryevna Putivtseva, 43, of Sacramento, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Watt Avenue westbound in the crosswalk.
The driver involved in the crash fled the scene, and authorities have not yet identified the vehicle. No arrests have been made as of the latest reports.
Putivtseva was pronounced dead approximately 20 minutes later at 12:40 a.m. by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The CHP is continuing to investigate the incident.
