An unlicensed teenage driver was taken into custody after a four-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Watsonville on Tuesday morning, August 12, 2025.
According to the Watsonville Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on South Green Valley Road at Kralj Drive.
Police said the teen was driving a Ford F-350 pickup southbound when he struck a Ford F-150 at the intersection. The impact pushed the F-150 into a Toyota Camry, which was then forced into another sedan.
The suspect fled on foot toward Rolling Hills Middle School but was located nearby with the help of a police drone. He was arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run and other offenses.
Two people in the other vehicles sustained minor injuries.
