[08-18-2025] Pedestrian Struck and Killed While Crossing Street in Jurupa ValleyA pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a street in Jurupa Valley early Monday morning, August 18, 2025.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m. on Rutile Street, just south of 50th Street.

Authorities said the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was walking on a two-lane residential roadway without marked pedestrian crossings when he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver stopped immediately and called 911. Paramedics arrived within minutes and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Deputies questioned the motorist but did not place him under arrest. Rutile Street was closed between 50th Street and Jurupa Road for several hours during the investigation.

An autopsy is pending. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley station at (951) 955-2600.
