A man was injured and may face DUI charges following a two-vehicle crash in Kern County on Thursday night, August 21, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 119 at Airport Road.
Authorities said the crash involved a pickup truck driven by a Bakersfield resident and a sedan driven by a Taft man. The Taft driver was transported by ambulance to a Bakersfield hospital with mild to moderate injuries. CHP noted that he may be cited for misdemeanor drunk driving.
The driver of the pickup was not transported by ambulance.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
