A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Ana on Sunday night, August 31, 2025.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:55 p.m. near the intersection of Edinger and Grand avenues.
Preliminary reports indicate the woman was walking westbound on Edinger Avenue when she was struck by a northbound vehicle. Orange County Fire Authority paramedics transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died. Authorities have not released her name pending notification of relatives.
Police reported that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It did not appear that the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
