A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a red Freightliner semi-truck south of Bakersfield on Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Information page, the crash occurred around 11:00 a.m. on southbound Costajo Road, north of Bear Mountain Boulevard.
The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Kern Medical. The semi-truck driver remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. CHP confirmed that DUI is not believed to be a factor in the incident.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
