A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Roberts Lane and Plymouth Avenue in Oildale, Kern County, on Wednesday morning, October 8, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 1:00 a.m. The pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lanes of Roberts Lane, outside of a marked crosswalk, when a Honda driving eastbound struck him and immediately fled the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP reported that the Honda was found and seized, but the driver was not in the car. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
