A pedestrian died after being hit by a sedan in Modesto early Friday morning, November 21, 2025.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 12:25 a.m. on Paradise Road near Leon Avenue. Officers and medical personnel provided assistance to the pedestrian, who later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Police also said neither drugs nor alcohol appears to be a factor for the driver at this time. The Modesto Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is handling the investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
