A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Qualcomm Way and Camino De La Reina in San Diego late Friday night, December 12, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision occurred around 11:46 p.m. as a 40-year-old man was walking against a red light in the west crosswalk at the intersection.
Police said a 2007 Honda Accord traveling westbound on Camino De La Reina in the number one lane entered the intersection on a green light and struck the pedestrian. The man suffered an open fracture to his left leg, along with facial lacerations and abrasions.
Authorities said the 41-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police determined that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
