A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Santa Rosa Street near Santa Rosa Park in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025.
According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, officers responded around 6:15 a.m. to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the area. Police later confirmed that the pedestrian died from the injuries.
The Severe Collision Incident Detail (SCID) Team was called out to handle the investigation. Authorities stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
