A driver was killed, and a passenger was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in Palmdale early Saturday morning, January 11, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a Honda Accord was speeding northbound on Sierra Highway when it struck a light pole at Technology Drive at approximately 12:40 a.m.
The driver, a man estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters and paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded at 12:42 a.m. and transported the passenger, who was in critical condition, to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
