[01-20-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed in Crash Between Sedan and Semi Truck on Eastbound 210 Freeway

One person was killed after a sedan collided with a semi truck on the eastbound 210 Freeway in San Bernardino on Tuesday morning, January 20, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 5:45 a.m. when a red Hyundai Sonata struck the back of a white semi truck just east of the I-215 interchange. Both vehicles came to rest on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway.

CHP dispatchers said a 911 caller reported that someone in the Sonata was injured, and approximately 15 minutes later, the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office was called to the scene. 

Tow trucks and the coroner arrived between 7:15 and 8:15 a.m. The #3 lane of the freeway was shut down for about an hour during the incident.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
