A 36-year-old pregnant woman riding a bicycle was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Playa del Rey, Los Angeles, on Saturday evening, January 31, 2026.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Pershing Drive and Manchester Avenue.
Investigators said the woman was riding a bicycle with her family when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver involved stopped at the scene and remained as required by law.
The bicyclist was identified as Regan G., who was seven months pregnant at the time of the collision. Authorities reported that her unborn child was delivered following the crash, but later died at a hospital. Both deaths were confirmed by officials.
Police stated that drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the collision. No additional details regarding the crash were immediately released.
