A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles on Tuesday night, February 3, 2026.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash was reported at around 9:00 p.m. in the area of Figueroa Street and Imperial Highway in the Green Meadows neighborhood.
Investigators said the man, believed to be in his 30s, was outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, and authorities said a description of the vehicle involved or its direction of travel was not immediately available.
LAPD stated the driver fled the scene following the collision. Detectives from the LAPD South Traffic Division are continuing to investigate the incident.
