A man was fatally struck by a vehicle on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway near the Parker Road exit in Castaic, Los Angeles County, on Tuesday evening, February 4, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were called to the scene around 8:14 p.m. and found the victim lying on the freeway.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Following the incident, the CHP issued a SigAlert, closing three lanes of the freeway for at least three hours while an investigation was conducted.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
