A semi-truck crash involving three other vehicles led to lane closures on the southbound 5 Freeway in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, on Saturday evening, March 1, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 9:10 p.m. near the Lankershim Boulevard off-ramp.
CHP issued a SigAlert, shutting down all southbound lanes and bringing traffic to a standstill.
About 30 minutes after the crash, the HOV lane and two other lanes were reopened. By 10:30 p.m., all lanes had been cleared and reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
