A 69-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run collision while walking on Hancock Street in Mission Hills, San Diego, on Thursday afternoon, March 6, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Hancock Street, between Interstate 5 and Pacific Highway.
Authorities reported that the pedestrian was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a southbound white Dodge Challenger. The driver did not stop and fled the scene.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.
Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Diego Police Department.
