A motorcyclist was hospitalized in grave condition following a crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks on Friday morning, March 13, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at about 10:50 a.m. on the westbound freeway at the San Diego (405) Freeway.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle rider collided with another vehicle and ended up in the center lane of the freeway.
The rider, a man believed to be in his mid- to late 50s, was transported to a hospital in grave condition by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Another person involved in the crash was also taken to a hospital in fair condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
