A 25-year-old woman was killed, and three others were hospitalized after a head-on collision on Fillmore Street in Thermal, Riverside County, on Friday afternoon, March 13, 2026.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash was reported shortly after 1:00 p.m. in the 58000 block of Fillmore Street.
Emergency crews arrived to find two vehicles with major damage, and a total of four people were transported to hospitals.
California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres said a Honda Accord occupied by a male driver, a female passenger, and a juvenile in the rear seat was traveling southbound on Fillmore Street when it veered into the northbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry driven by a man.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to area hospitals, while the female passenger and the juvenile were airlifted. The female passenger, identified as 25-year-old Daysi O. of Thermal, was pronounced dead at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office. The conditions of the two drivers and the juvenile were not immediately known.
The investigation remains ongoing.
