A 21-year-old man from Seaside was killed in a motorcycle crash involving an SUV on Interstate 5 in San Diego on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
According to authorities, the man had been riding a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Interstate 5, just north of the Pacific Highway on-ramp, when the motorcycle collided laterally with a Nissan SUV that was merging into the same lane.
The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected onto the roadway. The SUV came to a stop, and 911 was called immediately.
Law enforcement and fire personnel were dispatched to the scene. Paramedics arrived and performed life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead following consultation with a local emergency department.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
