[04-10-2025] Three Rescued After Vehicle Plunged in San Diego Bay near Harbor IslandThree people were rescued after a truck plunged into the San Diego Bay near Harbor Island on Thursday night, April 10, 2025.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said the incident was reported around 9:05 p.m. in the 900 block of Harbor Island Drive. Local fishermen witnessed the vehicle plunge into the water and helped bring one person safely to shore.

According to the authorities, first responders arrived and rescued two additional people who were trapped inside the submerged vehicle. All three individuals were transported to the hospital, but their conditions remain unknown.

Divers from the Harbor Police Department and San Diego Lifeguards assisted in the rescue and used an underwater camera to confirm no other victims were present. A tow truck was later called to remove the vehicle from the bay.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. No further information was released.
