A 33-year-old homeless woman died after being struck by a vehicle while walking along a transition road in San Diego on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
According to preliminary reports, the woman was walking on the northbound Interstate 5 transition road to Pershing Drive when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle. The driver involved has not been identified.
Emergency services responded to a 911 call, and paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital. Despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, she was pronounced dead after arrival.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of her next of kin.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
