[04-14-2025] One Injured, Another Fled After Vehicle Overturns in Crash on South Mission RoadOne person was injured and another fled the scene after a vehicle struck a power pole and overturned on South Mission Road in San Diego County, early Monday morning, April 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:14 a.m. near 2691 South Mission Road, where a white sedan collided with a power pole and flipped onto its roof. Witnesses reported seeing two occupants inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

One male fled the scene on foot, heading south on Mission Road. The other occupant remained with the vehicle and was later transported to Palomar Medical Center by Medic 111. Another person reportedly refused medical treatment and transportation, according to CHP logs.

The crash caused significant damage, splitting an SDG&E utility pole in half and leaving the vehicle partially in a resident’s front yard. Utility crews were notified, though an estimated time of arrival was not immediately available. Adams Towing responded to the scene, and law enforcement coordinated efforts with fire and emergency personnel.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident and working to locate the individual who fled. No additional details have been released.
