[04-16-2025] Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Audi at East Orange Avenue and Max Avenue in Chula VistaA motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision involving a black Audi at the intersection of East Orange Avenue and Max Avenue in Chula Vista on Wednesday evening, April 16, 2025.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the crash occurred just after 5:30 p.m. when the rider of a blue Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling eastbound on East Orange Avenue. The motorcycle collided with the Audi as the car made a left turn onto Max Avenue.

Responding officers and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

The Audi driver, a 34-year-old pregnant woman, and her 1-year-old child passenger sustained minor injuries. She remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Authorities stated that alcohol or drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash. The Chula Vista Police Traffic Bureau is handling the investigation.
