A 13-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a car while riding an electric scooter in Pomona on Friday, April 17, 2026.

According to authorities, the crash occurred on San Antonio Avenue, just north of Franklin Avenue.

The boy, identified as Angel L., was riding his scooter to a friend’s house after school when the collision occurred. He sustained severe head injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the Pomona Police Department. It was reported that the boy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
