A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash with another vehicle on Cherry Avenue in North Long Beach on Friday morning, April 18, 2025.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the collision occurred around 7:10 a.m. just south of Artesia Boulevard. Preliminary reports indicate that both the motorcycle and the other vehicle were traveling southbound on Cherry Avenue toward 65th Street when the crash occurred.
Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with serious upper-body injuries. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement, police said.
Authorities have closed Cherry Avenue between Artesia Boulevard and 65th Street while investigators continue working at the scene. The LBPD is investigating the cause of the collision.
