[04-22-2024] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Long Beach A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Long Beach on Monday evening, April 22, 2024. 

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the collision happened around 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Street and Atlantic Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a 2002 Lexus SUV made a left turn northbound on Atlantic Avenue from East Fourth Street when it crashed into a pedestrian. The victim was sent to the hospital but later died after two days. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed. 

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the responding officials. Speeding and distracted driving do not contribute to the collisions.
