A bicyclist was killed following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Fort Tejon Road and Essex Drive in Palmdale on Friday evening, May 2, 2025.
According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s deputies, authorities were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.
Initial reports indicate that a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling northbound on Fort Tejon Road at an unknown speed when it struck the bicyclist, who was attempting to cross west to east onto Essex Drive.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived and attempted lifesaving measures, but the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
