Two people were killed following a hit-and-run crash on South Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles on Monday morning, May 5, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash was reported at approximately 5:11 a.m. in the 6600 block of South Vermont Avenue. Responding officers found that the driver responsible had fled the scene on foot.
Authorities stated that the crash and subsequent investigation resulted in the closure of a stretch of South Vermont Avenue near 66th Street.
The suspect remains at large, and the incident is under ongoing investigation.
