A bicyclist was killed following a hit-and-run crash in San Joaquin County on Monday morning, May 5, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. on eastbound Jahant Road, east of Highway 99 at East Frontage Road.
Authorities stated that a 56-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle and ejected into an irrigation ditch.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.
