[05-07-2024] San Francisco County, CA – Two People, Including Minor, Hospitalized After Two Separate Hit-And-Run Crashes Around SF

[05-07-2024] Two People, Including Minor, Hospitalized After Two Separate Hit-And-Run Crashes Around SFTwo people, including a minor, were hospitalized after two separate hit-and-run crashes around San Francisco on Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the two incidents occurred approximately between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. around northeast San Francisco.

The first hit-and-run collision happened in the Tenderloin neighborhood. SFPD said that a Mustang driver struck a pedestrian around the area before driving away while committing multiple traffic violations in the process.

Police then tried to stop the driver’s rampage around the city near Leavenworth Street and Eddy Street but failed to do so, initiating a police chase.

In the heat of the pursuit, the Mustang driver hit a 14-year-old girl near the 2100 block of Powell Street near Francisco Middle School and continued driving without checking up on the victim. This makes it the driver’s second hit-and-run incident in a row.

Following the second collision, police called off the pursuit due to the safety risk it posed to the public. The victims of the two separate hit-and-runs were both transported to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Mustang driver was only put to a stop after the vehicle crashed into other parked cars. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.

SFPD was finally able to arrest the driver at The Embarcadero and Green Street. Police did not identify the arrested individual.

The factors that led to the following incidents remain unclear. No further information was immediately available.

They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
