A 68-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with a vehicle in San Diego on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the 4100 block of Kearny Mesa Road.
A 26-year-old woman driving a white Ford Mustang was preparing to turn into a Target parking lot when she collided with a black Honda motorcycle.
The impact resulted in life-threatening injuries to the motorcyclist, including a collapsed lung and a lacerated liver. He was transported to a hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
Authorities stated that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
