[05-19-2024] Two People Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash in OrcuttTwo people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle head-on crash in Orcutt, Santa Barbara County, on Sunday night, May 19, 2024.

According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, the traffic collision happened at about 9:00 p.m. around the intersection of Highway 135 and Union Valley Parkway.

Upon arrival, responding units found the drivers of both vehicles involved already out of their cars. It is said that the two had walked away from the wreckage on their power. They were the solo occupant of their respective vehicles. 

The two drivers were taken to the Marian Regional Medical Center Emergency Room in Santa Maria after sustaining injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Their current status is undisclosed.

Authorities blocked off the roadway momentarily as they investigated and cleaned up the scene.

Additional information was not readily available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the cause of the accident and the factors that may have contributed to it.
