A 63-year-old man was killed, and another person was injured following a two-vehicle crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Montebello early Saturday morning, May 23, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 2:33 a.m. to the eastbound freeway and the Paramount Boulevard exit.
One victim was found in the middle lanes of the freeway, while another was trapped inside a black sedan that had crashed into a freeway wall.
Authorities stated that the man, identified as Wade W., died from blunt force injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. His city of residence was not released.
The second victim was freed from the vehicle by Montebello Fire Department personnel and transported to a hospital. Their condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
