A female pedestrian in her 30s was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in South Los Angeles on Thursday night, May 29, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of Figueroa and 115th Streets.
Authorities said the woman was crossing the street when a northbound vehicle on Figueroa struck her and continued without stopping.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
The LAPD’s South Traffic Division is leading the investigation.
