A male pedestrian in a wheelchair was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Lancaster late Friday night, May 31, 2024.
According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the fatal collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Milling Street.
Deputies said that a man driving a dark SUV northbound on Sierra Highway, for some reason, hit the pedestrian who was crossing the intersection from east to west.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the responders. There was no immediate notification about his name, age, or origin.
There is no word yet whether or not the driver of the SUV involved was injured.
