A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a pickup truck towing a boat on State Route 67 in Poway on Saturday morning, May 31, 2025.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. near the intersection of SR-67 and Ellie Lane.
Deputies from the Poway station responded to the scene, where the motorcycle had collided with a Ford pickup truck.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the rider ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his family.
It is currently unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
