A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle across East Valley Parkway in Escondido on Saturday night, June 7, 2025.
According to the Escondido Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:10 p.m., approximately 100 feet west of the intersection with Ash Street.
The man was crossing the roadway when he was hit by a Honda Accord. Authorities said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Drugs or alcohol were not considered factors in the collision. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The incident remains under investigation.
