[06-13-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – At Least One Person Injured Following Vehicle Vs. Big Rig Collision on I-5 in Valencia

At least one person was injured following a vehicle vs. big rig collision in Valencia, Santa Clarita, on Thursday night, June 13, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:55 p.m. on northbound I-5 near SR-126. 

Authorities stated that an SUV and a big rig were involved in the traffic collision. Following the incident, the big rig was found overturned on the right lanes of the freeway. The driver of the truck, whose identity was not disclosed, was injured and transported to the hospital at about 1:40 a.m. 

It is unknown if anyone else was injured. The condition of the SUV driver was not available at this time. Details on the total number of people involved and how the collision occurred were not released. 

Further information on the crash has yet to be disclosed by the authorities. Witnesses are encouraged to come forward and coordinate with the investigation.
