A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Santa Fe Springs on Friday evening, June 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded at approximately 8:56 p.m. to the southbound side of the 605 Freeway near the Telegraph Road off-ramp.
Authorities located a white Honda sedan near the center divider and found the victim lying near the HOV lane. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity, including name, age, and gender, has not yet been released.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
