Two people sustained injuries in a solo vehicle crash in the Encanto neighborhood of San Diego on Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred just before 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of 60th Street and Imperial Avenue, near the trolley tracks. A black Kia Soul was involved in the collision, with two passengers inside the vehicle.
San Diego fire crews responded to the scene and extricated one of the passengers from the car. The second occupant was able to exit the vehicle on their own.
Passersby reportedly attempted to assist by kicking the car’s windows, though it is unclear whether they contributed to the self-extrication.
The injuries sustained were described as minor. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
