[06-29-2024] One Person Killed, Two Others Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Tesla in Diamond BarOne person was killed, while two others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash involving a Tesla in Diamond Bar early Saturday morning, June 29, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened at about 3:07 a.m. on the Pomona (60) Freeway at South Lemon Avenue, east of Fairway Drive.

Upon arrival, CHP officers found a damaged black Tesla and an overturned Honda blocking the eastbound middle lanes of the freeway. The circumstances behind the incident remain unclear, including if there were any other vehicles involved.

One person, only described as a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not immediately known if the deceased was a driver or a passenger. 

Meanwhile, two others were found injured and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown.

CHP closed off all the freeway’s eastbound lanes for several hours while they investigated and cleared the scene. 

No further information was immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the factors leading up to the deadly accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
