A male pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run collision in Santa Barbara late Saturday night, June 29, 2024.
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, the fatal accident occurred just after 11:30 p.m. at the 800 block of Cliff Drive.
Upon arrival, police found the adult male pedestrian lying on the road with major injuries after being struck by an unspecified car. Just moments later, the victim was pronounced dead. His name, age, and place of origin are being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
The vehicle involved reportedly left the scene before SBPD could arrive. Currently, no official description of the suspect vehicle or the driver has been provided. The hit-and-run suspect is still at large.
