At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on southbound Interstate 805 in Chula Vista on Monday night, June 30, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred just after 8:00 p.m. near Telegraph Canyon Road.
The incident involved a red Tesla, possibly two additional vehicles, and a motorcycle. Emergency responders closed the No. 1 through No. 3 lanes of the freeway to conduct the investigation. Officials stated the lanes were expected to reopen by 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.
