A cyclist was hospitalized after being struck in a collision with a vehicle in North Berkeley on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2026.
According to Berkeley police, the crash occurred just before 9:25 a.m. at the intersection of Marin Avenue and The Alameda.
Authorities said a Berkeley woman in her 70s was riding westbound with another cyclist when she collided with a black Hyundai Tucson SUV, which may have been turning right onto The Alameda at the time. The cyclist fell to the ground following the impact.
The woman was transported to Highland Hospital for treatment after reporting abdominal pain and possible clavicle injuries. She was conscious at the scene. The driver, who was present with a toddler, remained at the scene.
Berkeley police closed nearby streets during the response. The investigation remains ongoing.
